MAJA KRYSIAK
b. 1980, Częstochowa
Visual artist, works in painting, drawing, ceramics, creates objects and installations. She studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where she defended her PhD in art and is currently teaching. Her creative practice is rooted in conscious maturation in relation to the feeling of reality, both bodily and mental. She explores the fluidness and diversity of female identities.
Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2020), awarded during the 47th Winter Salon of the Art Biennale at MCSW Elektrownia (2023). She lives and works in Krakow.
