2 — 4 pm | Artist talk | Presentation of the activities of female artists affiliated with the +375 Collective
Participants: Kate Ignashevich, Proekt Etika, Maria Petuhovskaya, Nastya Kanva
5 — 7 pm
Maria Petuhovskaya | Performance
KANVA Sabbath | Workshop
Both events nurture the idea of maintaining continuity with roots and traditions on different levels. The artists explore the concept of working together in a women's circle, “at the table.” Nastia's approach is more historical, while Maria's is more personal. However, they reflect and intertwine with each other.
Nastya will conduct a masterclass on weaving from straw accompanied by traditional music. The technique she uses and popularizes originates from Belarusian rural handicrafts.

Maria's performance focuses on a personal and meaningful relationship. Drawing on her grandmother's family recipe, the artist recreates the gestures involved in sauerkraut pickling, an activity that in her family became a symbol of survival after the war.

The events emanate from the exploration of one's own identity in exile and focus on the appreciation of tradition and cultural richness, often forgotten and overlooked.
